Optimum Support for measurement data management

Nuremberg, February 24th, 2011 – Peak Solution, a consulting services provider for the planning and implementation of integrated software solutions in the field of test and measurement data management, is now offering special service contracts for the openMDM Framework open source solution. The objective is to make the use of open source software easier for companies by providing customized support and services.

openMDM is a vendor-neutral open source software environment for measurement data management. The Framework, which was originally developed for the automotive industry, is ideal for implementing a wide range of technical solutions, always keeping an eye on costs and possible future developments. The software is being developed by a community – www.openmdm.org – which Peak Solution is also a part of. The underlying standards are maintained by the ASAM (Association for Standardisation of Automation and Measuring Systems, www.asam.net) – this has also been actively supported by Peak Solution over many years.

Companies that strive to implement a comprehensive measurement data management system with the openMDM Framework can obtain services tuned to their specific requirements from Peak Solution. These can range from project planning and project management, via the entire conception and implementation of technical solutions, down to commissioning and training. Depending on the service level agreement, the support team at Peak Solution may also take over the analysis and elimination of bugs and the entire product maintenance and further development.

“As an openMDM specialist ’from the very beginning’, we offer our customers and partners individually tailored service packages within the openMDM Framework that follow the Best Practice approach, and which are assembled from different service components,” explains Dr Hans-Jörg Kremer, CEO of Peak Solution GmbH. “Apart from a detailed technical know-how and knowledge of processes in the field of test and measurement data management, as well as many years of experience with the openMDM Framework, our employees also have extensive knowledge in the fields of requirements management, component or service oriented principles of architecture, model-based software design, as well as system development.”
