Planning tests, managing results

Nuremberg, March 31st, 2011 – from May 17th to 19th, 2011, Peak Solution will be presenting itself at the Automotive Testing Expo Europe with a stand, live demonstrations and two presentations. The specialists for integrated software solutions in the field of test and measurement data management can be found at stand 1850 of the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre, where they will be present version 1.3.0 of the Peak Resource Planner, a software solution for company-wide planning and management of tests and test resources. Solutions and best practice examples from the openMDM Framework supplement the presentation on the stand.

The Peak Resource Planner 1.3.0 actively supports the user in planning tests and avoiding conflicts in the allocation of test resources. The planning tool can be connected to the openMDM-Framework measurement data management system via an interface. This software is also suitably designed to handle confidential test data, as administrators can define user access rights with an elaborate role-based concept.

The second focal point is formed by solutions based on the open source software openMDM. Peak Solution, along with others, has been involved in their development for several years now, and provides comprehensive support services for them. Three examples of openMDM projects are shown in live demonstrations: Test and measurement data management for driver assistance systems is an example of test series in which a particularly large amount of measurement data, driving scenarios and configurations are produced. A workflow engine is needed to make sure that measurement data is evaluated automatically. Another example, from gearbox development, demonstrates how measurement results from different systems can be tethered to openMDM via interfaces and release documents can be created within the application using a reporting module. The third example comes from the field of driving performance and fuel consumption measurement. In this case, evaluation software from various manufacturers is included in the solution scenario.
